Nursery rhymes about vehicles part 1

Large pictures of transportation engage all small car enthusiasts in rhyming. The cards are suitable for early childhood education and pre-primary education. The set contains 11 vehicle nursery rhymes. The pictures are large, which makes it easy for the whole group of children to spot them. These nursery rhymes were created when I had a small group of children who not interested in ordinary nursery rhymes. One day I used these vehicle pictures, and the group was so excited! After that I decided to modify other activities, too, with pictures of vehicles on different pages.

This printable PDF material is also great for the National Emergency Number Day (11th February) and the Fire Safety Week (23rd November – 1st December). 

The nursery rhymes are printable PDF files. If you like, you can print them double-sided, so you don’t need to glue the sides together. When I was a child, I liked playing with language, and it was fun to notice how different things had lots of names. 

Nowadays, nursery rhymes are not as common anymore. We should pay more attention to this, and children should have a chance to hear and learn nursery rhymes. Having fun with nursery rhymes and language strengthen the group atmosphere, and these activities improve learning. Fun and playful learning guarantees the wellbeing of the group.

Nursery rhymes enhance speech development and language acquisition. They develop vocabulary and language memory. Nursery rhymes create a nice moment between an adult and a child. You can reflect on the meaning of words, phrases and sentences together. Rhyming also encourages children to play with their language.
